The project

A collaborative project bringing together aviation experts, architects and a futurist from Connected Places Catapult. The objective: To produce an editorial expose - 'an artifact from the year 2050' - comprising retrospective news articles and op-ed pieces on topics including: Innovations in aviation; infrastructure development; improvements to the passenger experience and impacts on health and wellbeing; the rise of urban air mobility; and the full transition to green fuels, such as electricity and hydrogen.

Based on CPC's Connected Spaces magazine, the expose featured photos and renderings of future technology and architecture, infographics, illustrations from the talented Ray Oranges, and Art Direction from London based design agency S-T.

My role

As Lead Designer I created the editorial layouts for the expose, specifically: typography, appropriate colour palette, ad design, infographics and data visualisations. This was incredibly fun project to work on and a great experience collaborating with experts from a range of industries to bring together a really informative, thought provoking piece of work.
